A Journey Towards an Inspiring Cookbook
How do you inspire someone in today's fast-paced world, especially those from my generation and the ones below? As I strolled through a bookstore today, searching for a vacation read, I couldn't resist wandering into the cookbook section. Surprisingly, I discovered a desire within myself to write my own cookbook, yet I found most of the cookbooks I encountered to be rather dull. How could I be so eager to create something I don't even find exciting? This thought sparked my curiosity, and I began to reflect on the reasons behind this feeling.
Standard cookbooks simply present information in a mundane manner. If I were to create a cookbook, it needed to stand out from the thousands of other (boring) ones out there. There is, of course, less variety among cookbooks compared to other genres, as a cookbook typically doesn't tell a story, although it should. So, my mission is set: to craft a cookbook that tells an intriguing tale and captivates its readers. It must go beyond a mere list of ingredients and instructions. Instead, it should be a well-crafted book centered around the joy of food—a book that takes readers on an inspiring journey and ignites the same passion for food that I feel.
As I contemplated, a conversation behind me confirmed my thoughts. A girl remarked, "I simply don't have the patience to read a book; I'd rather watch TikTok." My cookbook needs to be as captivating as TikTok. This poses a considerable challenge, but one I am eager to embrace. Stay tuned for the culinary adventure ahead 🫶.
