Chocolate hazelnut butter

    400 g hazelnuts
  • 2
    6 dates
  • 3
    3 tablespoons cacao
  • 4
    1 teaspoon agave syrup (optional)

    50 g dark chocolate (optional)

    Roast the hazelnuts in the oven until they're golden at 180 degrees Celsius for 8 to 10 minutes.

    Add the roasted hazelnuts, cocoa, dates, and a sprinkle of salt to the food processor.

    If you're looking for a hazelnut paste more similar to Nutella, also add the dark chocolate and agave syrup. If you want a healthier spread with less sugar, skip this step.

    Mix the ingredients together until a butter forms. This can take up to 20 minutes, so be patient and let your food processor cool between intervals if it's overheating.

    Eat on bread or use as a topping on chia pudding or other breakfast dishes!
