Crispy and spicy tofu

Crispy tofu stir fry with green veggies

    500 grams tofu
  • 2
    3 tablespoons of flour
  • 3
    1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 4
    1 tablespoon turmeric
  • 5
    1 teaspoon ginger
  • 6
    1 teaspoon garlic
  • 7
    1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 8
    1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 9
    1 teaspoon salt (adjust to your preference)

    Take the tofu out of the package. You don't have to pat it completely dry because the moisture outside will help the spices adhere to the tofu.

    Slice the tofu into thin pieces; the more surface you cover with spices, the better.

    On a deep plate, prepare the spice mixture by adding 3 tablespoons of flour, smoked paprika, turmeric, ginger, garlic, white pepper, chili flakes, and salt.

    Using a fork or a small whisk, blend the flour and spices until you achieve an even mixture.

    Preheat a frying pan with a thin layer of oil to crisp the tofu on the stove. Ensure it's hot before adding the tofu.

    Coat the tofu slices in the spice and flour blend, then place them directly into the hot pan. If you wait too long, the exterior may become too wet, and the tofu will be less crunchy.

    Repeat with all the tofu slices until they turn golden and delicious.

    Enjoy as a protein source for dinner in a stir-fry or as an afternoon snack with sriracha.
